There are two different employment passes -
Employment Pass P Your spouse and dependent children below 21 years may accompany you on Dependant's Passes. Your aged parents and parents-in-law may also accompany you on Long Term Social Visit Passes. Employment Pass Q A Q1 Pass is issued if your basic monthly income is more than $2,000 and you satisfy the stipulated educational criterion. A Q2 Pass is issued on exceptional grounds only. Note Before you take up a job, it would be advisable for you to visit Singapore to explore your employment options. While you will not be able to work on a Social Visit Pass, but you can take the opportunity to attend job interviews and check out potential employers.
