Immigration

To become a permanent resident of Singapore, you need to obtain an entry permit and be sponsored either by a citizen or a permanent resident of Singapore. You can apply for permanent residence under two schemes:

Scheme for Professional/Technical Personnel/Skilled Workers

Under this scheme, the applicant has to be working in Singapore on an Employment Pass, generally for a period of 4-5 years.

If you are a male applicant, your wife and unmarried children (below 21 years of age) can be included in the application. But if you are a female applicant, only your unmarried children (below 21 years of age) can be included. Your husband will have to independently apply for permanent residence on his own merits.

Scheme for Entrepreneurs

If you are a foreign investor with substantial capital and a good entrepreneurial track record, you can apply for an entry permit under this scheme. You are required to deposit S$1.5 million with the Government.
