Dr.
B. R. Ambedkar Regional Engineering College, Jalandhar, is the seventeenth and
the youngest family member in the family of Regional Engineering Colleges in
the country. These colleges are a symbol of national integration and quality
education in the field of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Regional Engineering
College, Jalandhar campus is spread over 154 acres of land, 12 km from
Jalandhar Bus Stand and 10 km from Jalandhar City Railway Station, on the
Jalandhar-Amritsar Bye-Pass Road. The College can be approached by boarding
local bus bound for Kartarpur from Jalandhar Bus Stand and getting down at
Bidhipur Railway Crossing, from where it is at a walking distance of ½ km.
Auto-Rickshaw are also available both at Jalandhar City Railway Station and at
Jalandhar Bus Stand as well. Jalandhar is an important town of Punjab and is
situated between the rivers of Sutlej and Beas, on the Sher Shah Suri Marg. It
is an important Railway Station on Delhi-Amritsar Railway line and is a known
educational, cultural and literary centre of
Punjab , internationally famous Industrial centre for
sports goods, leather goods and hand tools.
