Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College Fatehgarh Sahib, the premiere
institute that imparts education in the trades of Engineering
Science. Established in 1993 by Shromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee(SGPC) in
order to train the youth of the state of Punjab in high level education .
The Institute has given special
emphasis to the rural youth. The college is built on 175 acres of
land. The college has a reservation policy for
admission giving 70% reservation to students from the rural area. The
college is recognized by AICTE as well as Govt. of
Punjab and entire admission process is carried under the
patronship of the Punjab Technical University Jalandhar via the Combined
Entrance Test (C.E.T) conducted by it for admission to the
Engineering discipline to all Engineering Colleges of Punjab.
The college has well equipped Computer Center,
Electronics & Mechanical Engineering Laboratories. The uptodate
expenditure on the college buildings alone is more than Rs.10 crore. Every
year new equipment are being added for which
ample funds are being provided by the trust .
