Undergraduate & K-13 Students: Immerse yourself in marine science in
the residential learning environment of an active field station. Small
classes provide close contact with faculty and staff for an experience
completely different from traditional campus life. Or BBSR has been a noted
resource for hands-on education for decades. Graduate, undergraduate and
high school students come from around the world to participate in BBSR's
programs or to use its facilities. Curriculum Highlights: The semester is split into two sections, with
the first ten weeks devoted to in-depth study of Invertebrate Zoology and
Coral Reef Ecology. The last 5 weeks will be entirely committed to a
research project of your choice. Or Since 1997, BBSR has participated in
collaborative semester sessions with accredited institutions. Setting Description: The "BioStation" is a full-service
campus on crystal clear blue water only minutes from coral reefs and pink
sand beaches. Or A full-service residential campus on crystal clear blue
waters. Combines research & academic activities with staff living with
students on-campus. Program Value: Students receive personal attention impossible to
achieve on a college campus and can focus on marine science, receiving
