Ecology and Conservation: Environmental focus. Learn the
intersections between long-term conservation objectives and the development
needs of local populations.
Curriculum Highlights: Intensive Language Study: Setswana; Botswana
Life and Culture; Ecology and Conservation; Environmental Field Study
Seminar and Independent Study Project (16 credits in total) Three weeks
homestay in the Gaborone area and one week in a nearby village. Educational
excursions includes visits to Okavango Delta, Maun Wildlife Reserve, Moremi
Game Reserve, and other conservation areas.
Setting Description: Botswana, one of Africa's last great wilderness
areas, is also one of the continent's most stable and prosperous nations.
Program Value: Fees include international airfare, health insurance,
tuition, full room and board, excursions, and other direct program expenses.
Participants pay for domestic travel to the point of departure from the USA.
