Cognitive travel in Caucasus: Lectures in the history of Georgia, art history, archaeology, ethnology. Journeys to: Svaneti, Khevsureti, Tusheti, Kakheti, Mtskheta, Dmanisi, Kazbegi regions. Excursions to museums, galleries, theatres in Tbilisi.
Curriculum Highlights: Participants will be able to inspect ancient castles, historical monuments, pagan churches and other architectural works of different shape and style; to meet variety of paintings - icons, frescos, enameled and different kinds of works of forge and many other pleasant and unknown novelties about Georgia and Georgians.
Setting Description: The lectures are given in one of the main buildings of Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University and delivered by highly qualified lecturers-professors of the University. The tours are held in different towns and regions of Georgia mainly by bus/microbus and train.
Program Value: The aim of this program is to make conditions and give opportunity to the persons interested in the history of Georgia, art history, ethnology, archaeology - to get to know: Georgia, Georgian people, Georgian language, its three millennial history, culture by the chief specialist and scientists.
