Nanak Dev Engineering College
College Profile: Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College(GNDEC) is the oldest & one of the most prestigious Engineering College in Punjab as well as Northern India. It is located in the beautiful campus spread over 80 acres of land in clean and peaceful environment in the important industrial town of Ludhiana.
It was established by Nankana Sahib Education Trust in 1956,with the objective of filling the void in technical education created by the partition of the country in 1947. The GNDEC is today recognised among the leading engineering institutions of the country. The college has fulfilled the expectations of its visionary founders and during the four the four decades of its glorious existence contributed more than 6200 engineering Graduates at the global level. The college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar(Previously Panjab University Chandigarh) and is recognised by AICTE for the award of Undergraduate(B.Tech) as well as Post Graduate(M.Tech.) degrees.The college is recognised research centre for the award of Ph.D.degree in engineering.The admission is purely on merit through a Common Entrance Test(C.E.T.) held at the state level.
