School Education
Overview
Under Free and
Compulsory Education all children in the age group of 6-14 are
to be provided free Primary Education. In order to achieve the goal
of Universalisation of Primary Education efforts are being made to
increase retention of children in schools, increase their enrollment,
opening of new Primary Schools, provision of infrastructure in the
existing Primary Schools, innovative approach in the schools and
decentralized Planning, irrespective of Social bias. The object of
Free and Compulsory Education is being achieved by mobilizing Community
support in the villages where large percentage of illiterate population
reside.
