Make your game exciting by creating your own bats and shuttlecock. All you need is simple things and you are set for play time. Make few extra ones for your friends and have fun.

Things Required:

  • Two squares of hardboard 10" X 10"

  • Four pieces of wood 6" long X 1" X 1/4"

  • Two pieces of hardboard 4" long X 1" wide

  • Thing string

  • Glue

  • Cork

  • Packet of cocktail sticks (or toothpicks)

  • Pencil, paper

  • Eight 1/2 " tacks

  • Hammer, a good penknife or scissors, paint.

Method:

Step 1: Draw and paint bulls-eye pattern on the 10" squares of hardboard.

Step 2: Glue together two pieces of 6" wood and one piece of 4" hardboard to make the handle.

Step 3: When the glue is dry, bind the handle with string.

Step 4: Nail and glue the handle to the bat.

Step 5: Push sticks around edge of a cork, so that they slant outwards slightly.

Step 6: Cut the pointed tops off the sticks. Keep them all the same length.

Step 7: Glue paper on outside of the sticks, leaving 1/8" of sticks showing at top and bottom.
