Fridge Magnets

There are several modelling mediums you could use in this project, such as polymer clay, which can be purchased from craft and hobby shops. Whichever material you use, it is important to follow the instructions on the packet.

You Will Need

  • Modelling medium

  • Rolling pin (optional)

  • Modelling tools (optional)

  • Acrylic paints, in assorted colours

  • Paintbrush

  • Magnets

  • Non-toxic strong glue

Step 1
To make the teapot and the cups and saucers, mould each shape with your fingers, adding small pieces of the modelling medium for the details. If you are using polymer clay, you will need to roll it out first and out the shapes with modelling tools.

Step 2
For the snail, roll out a length of modelling medium approximately 15 cm (6 in) long and coil it round. Add on small pieces for the antennae and tail.

Step 3

Paint the shapes and leave the paint to dry. If you are using polymer clay, you do not need to paint it.

Step 4
Glue a magnet onto the back of each shape with strong glue. Leave the glue to harden before placing the magnets on the fridge.
