News Schedule Format Squads Venues Interviews

The Wanderers, Johannesburg

Built in 1956, the New Wanderers became the third Test ground in Johannesburg, when England played South Africa and won 131 runs.

That season it witnessed the best Test bowling performance ever by a South African, when Hugh Tayfield took 9 for 113 in the fourth Test of the series.

An intense atmosphere at the 27,000-seat stadium has led to its being nicknamed 'The Bull ring'.

And, as with England at Lord's, the national team tends to under-perform at the national headquarters.

Pakistan and Canada will use the city as their home base.

The venue will play host to three matches:

Feb 11: Australia vs Pakistan

Feb 16: South Africa vs New Zealand

Feb 01: Kenya vs Bangladesh
