Terrorism in Punjab

Seed farm Shoot-out

The cruelty of the Punjab terrorism was at its peak in the late eighties. The fact is manifested by the seed farm shoot out case of Lodhuwal, in which 19 innocent persons were first tied up with ropes, and then mercilessly killed by the terrorists. The incident goes like this. On November 4, 1992 at about 8.40 PM. the workers at the seed farm, Lodhuwal (which is a Govt. seed farm on the out skirts of Ludhiana towards the river Sutlej) were about to take rest after the day's hardwork. At that time, seven terrorists armed with AK-47 rifles came to the seed farm, at gun point tied up all the workers of the farm with ropes and started firing on them. Ninteen workers lost their lives.
