Been Baja |
Akin to the bagpipes of Scotland, this
instrument, highly decorated with tassels and beads, is
usually seen at melas and festivals or sometimes at marriages.
It consists of three vertical pipes supplied by an airbag. A
varied repertoire of tunes from marches to love songs are
played on it. It differs from the Scottish pipes in that the
bag is made of cloth . not leather.
