Hideki Shirakawa Professor Emeirtus
SHIRAKAWA, who retired from the univeristy
this spring, has won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 2000, with Dr.
Heeger (Prof. of physics at the Univ. of California, Santa Barbara)
and Dr. MacDiarmid (Prof. of chemistry at the Univ. of Pennsylvania)
for the discovery and development of conductive polymers. |
